Assistant Camp Coordinator
Hours 8:00am-4:30pm M-F, June 28-August 13.
As a Camp Assistant Coordinator, you will be the second go-to person for all things camp. Your job will include many responsibilities, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Assistant Camp Coordinator, along with the coordinator, has real ownership over the camp programs and enjoy infusing their own creativity and talents into their weekly schedules.
Assistant Camp Coordinator Qualities
• Ability to work with children to grow in character, experiences and insights • Knowledge of after school program and planning • Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times • Prior experience working with children in a leadership capacity • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations • CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the program begins
Assistant Camp Coordinator Responsibilities
• Work with Camp Coordinator & group of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience • Work with and supervise interns in a supportive manner • Assign interns to specific tasks • Greet families and campers upon arrival and orientate them to camp • Manage parent expectations by knowing your students and conversing with parents at pick-up and drop-off times • Plan daily after school program schedule and activities • Prepare activities in advance • Establish emergency rules and safety procedures with students and staff • Manage any issues that may arise including, but not limited to, student behavior issues, parent complaints, etc. • Check in with the Executive Director to update them on program and any issues you may be encountering

Staff members must be available to work the whole summer camp dates: June 28-August 13.
