Camp Fire Summer Enrichment
Campfire Summer Enrichment Program is a DPH licensed Youth Day Camp for 45 children ages 5-15 in the city of Waterbury and neighboring towns. The program provides a variety of activities and mentoring throughout the summer, such as sports and recreation, arts and crafts, field trips, cooking, technology, and educational activities. Children in the Campfire Summer Enrichment Program are required to read each day and keep a reading log of books they have completed reading. The children also have weekly trips to a local park, pool, movie theater, and a fun field trip at the end of the week! Campfire Summer Enrichment Program allows children to have a safe, enjoyable, and enriching summer!
The goal of the Campfire Summer Enrichment Program is to provide an enriching, safe and positive environment for children in order to decrease the rates of youth who come from low to moderate-income homes engaging in negative behaviors which can affect their livelihood and well-being.
